Welcome concert in honor of the ambassadors of Indonesia, Thailand and Slovakia in Bucharest
The Music Society, the Cotroceni National Museum and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organize the Welcome Concert offered in honor of His Excellency Amar Azeth (Indonesia), His Excellency Sarayoot Kalayanamit (Thailand) and His Excellency Karol Mistrik (Slovakia), at the beginning of their mandate as ambassadors in Romania. The event is supported by Computerland Romania.
The concert will take place at the Cerchez Hall in the Cotroceni Palace, on July 6 at 4:00 p.m.
Duo Cello Jaya and Iulian Ochescu will perform:
Jean-Baptiste Barrière (1707-1747) – Sonata in G major for two cellos
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 -1827) – Sonata op. 7
Sebastian Lee (1805-1887) – Duet no. 2, op. 36
Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) – Intermezzo op. 118
Johann Benjamin Gross (1809-1848) – Suite for two cellos, op. 42
George Enescu (1881-1955) – Mélodie, Pièces impromptues op. 18
David Popper (1843-1913) – Suite for two cellos op. 16
Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975) – Five pieces for two violins and piano, arr. for two cellos and piano.
